Apple lancia Streaming TV su Itunes

Apple starebbe cercando di aggiungere degli abbonamenti mensili a contenuti televisivi disponibili su iTunes e Disney e CBS sarebbero già interessate ad aderire all’iniziativa. Lo afferma il Wall Street Journal secondo il quale il piano di Apple è di partire il prossimo anno e che attualmente la società sta già lavorando per stringere accordi anche se non è chiaro ci sono dei network televisvi che hanno già aderito.
Secondo il report CBS starebbe considerando l’offerta di programmi dalle reti CBS e CW mentre Disney starebbe facendo lo stesso per quelle ABC e Disney Channel. Si parla ad esempio di un bundle di programmi inziale da CBS, Disney e altri network che verrebbe venduto come pacchetto “Best of TV” al costo di 30 dollari al mese. Pacchetto che probabilmente sarebbe destinato al mercato americano anche se non è da escludere che Cupertino in futuro non pensi di andare oltre cercando di coinvolgere anche operatori che trasmettono in altri Paesi, Italia compresa.
Intanto la nuova strategia video fa parte di una riorganizzazione dell'iTunes store che ha visto recentemente Apple acquistare la società di streaming musicale Lala. Con anche lo streaming di programmi TV Cupertino potrebbe infine incrementare le vendite del dispositivo Apple TV che finora non è stato all’altezza dei suoi altri prodotti sul piano commerciale. Apple non ha commentato la notizia.
