Il presidente ha esortato i burocrati e i leader industriali a non perdere tempo nello sviluppo di un polo tecnologico fuori Mosca, un luogo in cui le aziende godranno di sgravi fiscali per 10 anni e sostegno statale.
La città tecnologica darà spazio ad aziende, nazionali e non, che cercheranno di sviluppare soluzioni innovative in cinque settori: energia, IT, telecomunicazioni, biotecnologia e nucleare.
L’ex amministratore delegato di Intel, Craig Barrett, sarà co-presidente del consiglio di consulenza per la gestione delle imprese incluse nel progetto.
Medvedev ha speso parole anche per l’industria dei videogiochi. Il presidente pensa che la nazione debba avere una propria industria, in modo che riesca parlare con maggiore precisione della cultura e della storia della Russia. D’altronde secondo Medvedev i videogiochi sono un ottimo mezzo per parlare alle nuove generazioni, più vicine a questo mercato che a quello dei libri.
