Waze, il traffico stradale in diretta sul tuo cellulare
Other - Internet — By Max on aprile 27, 2010 at 21:39Anche in Italia è arrivato Waze, un servizio gratuito di navigazione satellitare per cellulari che consente di condividere informazioni sul traffico stradale e non solo. Si tratta infatti di una piattaforma dinamica, con servizio GPS, “nata e alimentata grazie al contributo di una community di utenti”, sottolinea il comunicato. “In comune, il desiderio di essere informati all’istante sulle condizioni del traffico e della rete stradale (ingorghi, lavori in corso e altre informazioni utili), per arrivare a destinazione senza sorprese”.
Waze
Waze è disponibile in italiano per i terminali iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, Symbian; a breve sarà disponibile anche per BlackBerry. “Una recente partnership stretta con Intermap permette a Waze di offrire una cartografia di base per l’Italia. Ma la potenza di Waze sta nella sua community. Tutti infatti possono contribuire ad arricchire l’applicazione: se si passa su una strada non ancora localizzata all’interno dell’applicazione, sarà sufficiente posizionarsi sull’icona del bulldozer per registrare il tragitto percorso e mettere a disposizione di tutti i wazer mappe sempre più aggiornate e precise nell’arco di 48 ore”, continua il comunicato.
Nello specifico Waze “è capace di riconoscere il divario tra la velocità rilevata e il limite imposto sulla strada e di dedurre se il traffico è rallentato o bloccato” e anche “di fare un’analisi complessiva in base al senso di marcia degli utenti e definire se una strada è a senso unico o a doppio senso”.
